"Trane NA Air-Fi Wireless Zone SensorTrane" - brand Ingersoll Rand, has entered the market with wireless technology, Air-Fi for building management.
With Air-Fi, there is no need for wired building management systems, which provides quick installation with less damage to employees working in the building, and also provides higher reliability, simpler installation and flexibility for potential changes to the working space.
Many building owners face problems with the maintenance and repair of a traditional wired control system that fails if the wires are disconnected or damaged. Air-Fi will help optimize building performance and reduce risk, thanks to a self-healing network that uses alternate signal routes to prevent communication failures. Trane offers a standard range of 60 meters indoors, and up to four different routes, with the range increasing to half a mile with no obstacles, providing a higher level of signal reliability.
With a battery life of three times as high as other suppliers, the need to replace the battery during the entire life of the system in most installations is eliminated, which saves time and money.
“Trane Air-Fi is a reliable, flexible solution that saves building owners from the trouble of traditional wired control systems. Air-Fi offers easy problem solving, efficient operation and cost savings throughout the life of the equipment, ”said Dave Molin, vice president of Trane Product Management in North America. “Trane understands that building owners want a system that works as it should from day one and continues to work reliably for many years.”
Air-F is a certified ZigBee Certified Building Automation solution and is built on a platform that supports BACnet open standards. This allows customers to integrate additional devices when the building expands or changes its layout. If necessary, wireless sensors are easy to move or replace, to resolve issues related to sensor sensitivity, aesthetics or space transformation.
