Hybrid Energy - the future

Hybrid Energy - the future

Truth is relative. For example: electricity and telephony - these technologies were invented and widely used in the same time more than one hundred years ago. Both industries have grown into a giant network, with the help of them, we have been a second and a third industrial revolution, based on them is built the modern economy.

However, while the Internet and computer technology have made giant technological leap associated with functional mobile phones, the lion's share of energy continues to be developed on the same principles as in the 19th century. Huge constantly rotating generators provide power to the network. At the same time, renewable energy is gradually increasing power. We see the old paradigm of centralized power supply collapses under the pressure of contemporary sources, which are not constant, but nevertheless very effective due to power distribution systems on a network.

To derive maximum benefit from renewable energy suppliers need to correctly plan the integration of renewable sources in the overall network, requires constant power supply and relatively stable load. Energy storage in the compartment with complicated software will allow to successfully manage the volatile energy of the sun and wind. These systems will be able to smoothly adjust the frequency, voltage, energy conversion, making the integration of renewable energy in the global network intensive and painless.

This integration is actively going on today on the small islands, where traditional energy is expensive, and therefore renewable energy for their own micro-networks becomes economically viable. Storage battery successfully solve the problem of variability of renewable energy actions.

Combined systems consisting of renewable energy and diesel generators, reduce the amount of harmful emissions due to the inexhaustible natural resources. It is noteworthy that not all clean energy must necessarily be accumulated in the storage system, excess energy can be use in other environmentally important areas - such as in desalination systems.

The world's first self-contained battery power system to supply 100% of renewable energy will soon come into operation on one of the islands of the Azores archipelago. More than 4,500 inhabitants of the island will enjoy the smooth and relatively cheap energy around the clock. This diesel generator on the island is almost always off.

Due to a complex system of storage battery monitoring on the island of Graciosa solar and wind energy will provide electricity stable stand-alone network. Rechargeable batteries have a limited lifetime, however, during this period, they benefit economically more than diesel generators (fuel delivery is expensive) to the same new system can reduce CO2 emissions.

According to GTM Research Research Centre for 2015 58 GW of newly introduced electricity was generated by the PV solar panels, which is 34% more than in 2014.

Combining storage system batteries, PV systems can solve a number of tasks assigned to renewable energy: for example, to solve the problem of aging plants running on fossil fuels, to promote the construction of new hybrid plants at low prices for natural gas and the lack of funding, and finally spur technological breakthrough in the energy sector for example, Internet and telephony sectors in which there was a real revolution in the past decade.
